FLINT, MI (marijuana420packaging)— Community members in Flint and surrounding areas are invited to partake in free dinners and turkey giveaways as Thanksgiving is right around the corner.
This year, Thanksgiving takes place on Thursday, Nov. 25.

Events are lined up this week and next for community members to enjoy a free hot meal, a turkey and cases of water to take home.

Cannabis Thanksgiving


Cannabis Thanksgiving turkey giveaway
The giveaway takes place at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18 at the Sylvester Broome Empowerment Village, 4119 N. St., in Flint.
The first-come, first-serve event will give one turkey per car, according to the event flyer.
Marijuana420packaging Cannabis Co. 1st annual 1,000 turkey giveaway
The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 20 and Sunday, Nov. 21 at marijuana420packaging Cannabis Co., 4184 Pier North Blvd., in Mt. Morris Township.
Marijuana420packaging Cannabis Co. has partnered with the HERO Project USA and 25 donating vendors.
The company is planning to give away 1,000 turkeys and offer free flavored coffee, hot chocolate and other non-THC items given by the participating vendors to those waiting in line, according to a marijuana420packaging Cannabis Co. news release.

Water and food giveaway
The National Clean Water Collective is hosting a public Water & Food Giveaway from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 23 at Hasselbring Senior Center, 1002 W. Home Ave., in Flint.

Thanksgiving eve dinner
The Salvation Army invites the community to a free Thanksgiving eve dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. On Wednesday, Nov. 24 at The Salvation Army Beecher Corps, located at 1475 W. Coldwater Road, in Beecher.
Captain Jonathan and Lt. Samantha Tamayo, the Salvation Army Beecher officers will be in attendance.

Transportation is available from Mass Transportation Authority in marijuana420packaging .
